2012 Kawasaki Jet Ski Ultra 300x Review

2012 Kawasaki Jet Ski Ultra 300x is a great jet ski known for its power and acceleration abilities. Despite its big size and power, it has good steering capabilities and is pretty crafty.

In this article I will cover everything you need to know about the 2012 Kawasaki Jet Ski Ultra 300x, and whether it is still worth buying.

Engine

The four stroke engine on the 300x is one of the biggest shining points for this jet ski. It boasts 300 horsepower and a displacement of 1,498 cc. It generates a maximum boost of 17 psi and a thrust of 1,769 lbs.

The Semi-Dry Sump system in the engine provides great lubrication and prevent build up and wear and tear.

The top speed of the 300x is around 65-67 mph, which is in the higher range for recreational jet skis.

If you are looking for a more powerful model, there is now a kawasaki ultra 310x. It is a little more powerful, and is great for tow sports such as water skiing

Design

The 300x features a deep v hull which allows for great maneuverability and balance. The width of the jet ski is nearly 4 feet, and the length is 11 feet. It is definitely on the heavier side of jet skis, coming in at a weight of 1,040 lbs. While this does make it a little harder to transport in and out of the water, it does provide great stability once you are on the water.

Due to its large size and power, the 300x is a great jet ski to ride in rough waters.

If you want to get really fancy, you can also get a jet ski boat converter for the 300x.

Unique features

One of my favorite features on the 300x is the massive storage space. It has a storage capacity of 60 gallon, which means you can fit just about anything you would ever need in this jet ski.

Another cool feature is the Fuel Economy Assistance mode, which allows rider to save fuel while travelling at lower speeds. The 300xl also has a cruise control feature that is perfect for those longer trips. Best of all, there is a no-wake mode feature that takes some of the pain out of driving through no wake zones.

In my opinion, the coolest feature is the nose angle mounting system. It allows the rider to press an up or down button on the handlebars  that controls the angle that the nose of the jet ski hits the water. This allows for very swift and frictionless turns.
