Best Places to Jet Ski in Key Largo, Florida
Because of the diversity of the region, there are many options for jet ski adventures. My top suggestions are:
1. Race in the open water
With easy access to the Atlantic ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, I can’t think of a better way to spend time than racing through the crystal blue water with the scenic Florida beaches on your side. A trip to the Gulf of Mexico will be a longer adventure (at least 3 hours), so make sure to book accordingly. Another great place to jet ski in the Keys is Marathon, Florida.
2. Weave through the winding Mangroves
For a truly unique experience, consider exploring the winding Mangroves that weave up and down the keys. The mangroves are a giant forest in the water with an extensive root network the expands beneath the water. Jet skis are the perfect way to explore because they are shallow enough to enable deep exploration. The network of canals and tree pathways is truly breathtaking. I would recommend a map or a guide for this portion so that you don’t get lost.
3. Explore the vibrant coral reef
Beautiful coral reefs run throughout the keys and a jet ski is an awesome way to explore. If you like to snorkel, then this is a can’t miss experience. Please make sure you get a map from your rental group so that you know where you can and cannot go with the jet ski. Coral reefs are endangered ecosystems so please do your part in protecting them so that they remain for future generations to enjoy.
