Inflatable dock slides are a great addition to any lake house. They are quick and easy to set up, and they usually aren’t too expensive. When you want to buy an inflatable dock slide, it is important that you find one that is both sturdy and durable. In today’s article, I will cover my two favorite inflatable dock slides on the market.
Best Inflatable Dock Slides
The two best inflatable dock slides are the RAVE Sports and the SportsStuff SPILLWAY dock slides. They can also be attached to boats.
RAVE Sports Dock Slide
Number one on my list is the Rave Sports Dock Slide. At only $400, it is the cheapest quality slide you will find. It is 9 feet long, and it only takes 5 minutes to inflate it.
It has foot holes lined on the back which make it very easy to climb up. There are also two handles at the top which make it very easy to hold on to before you slide down.
The slide comes with straps to attach to your dock, as well as an inflator and deflator. It can easily be rolled up into the size of a sleeping bag, which makes it very easy to transport. You can attach this slide to a wooden or floating dock.
This slide can also be attached to a boat if the boat has railings that you can tie the straps to.
SportsStuff SPILLWAY Inflatable Dock Slide
The SPILLWAY is also a great choice for an inflatable dock slide. The slide has a length of 8 feet, which means its a litter shorter than the Rave slide. However, it is a little more expensive. It usually retails for around $500.
It also comes with 4 straps that make it easy to strap on to a dock or even a pontoon boat. The slide is made of strong polyester and reinforced with PVC which make it very durable.
The only downside of this slide is that it does not come with a h valve adapter which is needed to blow up the slide. The good news is that you can buy an h valve adapter at Dicks Sporting Goods or Amazon for around $25.
Things to remember with an inflatable dock slide
While inflatable dock slides are awesome, there are a couple safety precautions you should keep in mind. For starters, make sure there are no sharp objects on the dock near the slide. This is important because it prevents injury, and it also help prevent the slide form getting popped.
Additionally, you should also always have parental supervision when kids use the inflatable slide. Kids should also wear a life jacket when they use an inflatable dock slide. Check out my article on the best life jackets if you need to buy one.
Keep in mind that both of these slides have a maximum weight capacity of 200 lbs. If more weight is put on the slides, it is a danger hazard and it could pop the slide.
Last but not least, make sure the water depth around the slide is at least 8 feet deep!
Conclusion
As stated earlier, inflatable dock slides are very easy to set up. They are a quick and easy way to spice up your lake activities. They are also very easy transports, so you can easily bring them to other docks and boats.
