Corpus Christi’s beaches offer conditions that are great for a wide range of water sports and activities. As one of the windiest parts of the Gulf, it is an excellent destination for windsurfing and kite surfing. A lot of beaches also offer great surfing and on the calmer days, a jet ski can be a great way to explore. Before heading out, make sure you check the wind forecast to ensure the conditions are safe!
There are over 100 miles of coastline between Corpus Christi Bay and the Gulf of Mexico so you will have plenty of beaches to choose from. A lot of the companies we have reviewed don’t allow reservations so they will require you to call the day of your trip to check for availability. Because of this, we strongly recommend that you call ahead of time and that you have multiple options in case there is no availability for your first choice.

As mentioned, they have the largest riding area of everywhere we reviewed. This will enable you to have the most fun without having to worry about entering a restricted area. The price is slightly higher than competitors but that is because of the extended riding area. The further you ride, the more gas you will burn, and they need to bake that into their cost.
They offer a Yamaha fleet and you will more than likely get the Yamaha VX Cruiser. It is a 4 stroke, 4 cylinder engine and can reach up to 50 mph. Plenty fast enough to enable some awesome riding on the open water.

Fun Time Rental is located very conveniently downtown in the Corpus Christi Marina. During the week you need to text them to make a reservation, however, on the weekend it is a first-come, first-serve basis.
The staff is friendly and we do recommend them, but it is important to note that they require you to ride within a confined area. Before booking with them, make sure you are okay with the riding zone they require. It is still plenty of space to explore and have fun but is not an unlimited riding area.
