Best Neoprene Shorts for Jet Ski

Today’s article will cover everything you need to know about neoprene shorts for jet skiing. I will also include a list of the best neoprene shorts for jet skis.

What are Neoprene Shorts?

Neoprene is a type of synthetic rubber that is used in many types of wetsuits and thermal clothing. Compared to other types of rubber, it is less sensitive to temperature changes. Normal rubber usually becomes hard and brittle in low temperatures, and becomes stretchy and sticky in warm weather.

Neoprene shorts are also very resistant to water, which make neoprene shorts great for water sports such as jet skiing.

Why are neoprene shorts useful for when you jet ski?

People wear neoprene shorts when they jet ski for many reasons. For one, as mentioned above, they are very resistant to water, and sometimes even waterproof. Therefore, many people wear them because they keep you dry when you jet ski.

Additionally, along with keeping the cold water away from your skin, neoprene shorts also help contain your body heat. On top of that, they are also very resistant to UV rays, so they can be worn for sun protection.

While they aren’t 100% necessary for riding a jet ski, they are a great jet ski accessory that I strongly recommend.

Lastly, neoprene shorts help prevent rashes which can form if you spend a lot of time on a jet ski. With that being said, I have put together a list of the best neoprene shorts to wear on a jet ski.

Best Neoprene Shorts for Jet Ski

The best neoprene shorts for a jet ski are REALON, ZONE3, Lemorecn, and SLINX Neoprene Shorts. All 4 are waterproof and provide warmth and comfort.

REALON Neoprene Shorts

My favorite neoprene shorts for jet ski are REALON. They are the cheapest neoprene shorts on the market, and you can buy a pair on amazon for around $25

These shorts are 3mm thick, which will certainly help conserve your body heat. They also have a drawstring which you can use to ensure the pants are on tight. They are unisex so they can be worn by both guys and girls. These shorts are thicker around the waist, and are thinner near the thighs which lead to a very comfortable fit. They also have a reflective logo which I think is pretty cool

The only downside with these shorts is that some people don’t love the design because they don’t go as far down the thigh.

Zone3 Neoprene Buoyancy Shorts

Zone3 is another great choice for neoprene shorts. They are extremely buoyant, so they are a good choice if you plan on spending some time in the water. They are 3mm thick on the sides, and 2mm thick in the center.

While this design is definitely the stylish in my opinion, they do come at a price. They usually retail for around $80. There is a 100% money back guarantee if you are not satisfied.

Lemorecn Neoprene Shorts

The Lemorecn neoprene shorts are another great option. These shorts have back protection, which helps with back support and keeps your lower waist/back warm. It also goes far down the thigh, which leads to more warmth and comfort for your legs.

It also has a drawstring on the side that you can use to tighten or loosen the pants to the perfect tightness. You can buy these shorts on amazon for around $30.

SLINX Neoprene Shorts

Last on the list are the SLINX neoprene shorts. They are 2mm thick and provide great thermal insulation for your bottom half. They also feature fatlock stitching which help prevent rashes. It also provieds a lock water design which prevents water from entering at your waist or up your thighs.

At $28, they are the second cheapest shorts on our list. They are also unisex and are eco-friendly.

Conclusion

I hope this article has given you more insight on what to look for when buying neoprene shorts for jet skis. It is important that you order the right size shorts to ensure they will fit correctly and are comfortable. Lastly, most neoprene shorts cannot go in a washer or dryer, so you should hand wash and air dry them when it is time to clean them.
